DATA PROTECTION INFORMATION (EU-DSGVO)

This Privacy Policy describes the processing of personal data when using the websites of LG Energy Europe GmbH. It also explains the choices you have regarding your personal data (“your rights”) and how you can contact us.

Definition of personal data

Personal data is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes, for example, your name, your (business) contact details, your telephone number or your e-mail address.

  1. PROCESSING OF DATA WHEN USING OUR WEBSITE – LOG FILES

When you access our website, the following information of a general nature (so-called log file data) is automatically recorded:

Date and time of access; IP address; website from which our website was accessed; websites accessed via our website; pages visited on our website; information about the browser type and version used; operating system.

The temporary storage of this data is technically necessary for the correct delivery of our website. The data is also required when using the Internet and when accessing a website. We store the log file data to ensure the functionality and security of the information technology systems. For these purposes, our legitimate interest lies in the storage of log file data for a period of 12 month. The legal basis for the processing of personal data is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR or Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. a.

  1. PROCESSING OF DATA WHEN USING THE WEBSITE – YOUR ENQUIRIES

If you send us an enquiry by e-mail or enter your data on our contact page, we will collect the data you provide voluntarily to process and respond to your request. We store this data for verification purposes for a period of up to two years. Legal basis for data processing Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter f GDPR. These enquiries will only be processed by us and your data will not be forwarded.

If you send an enquiry via the Installer Map, your enquiry will be sent both to LG Energy Europe and to our business partners. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter b.

  1. NOTES ON GUARANTEEING DATA SECURITY

We take technical and organisational security precautions on our website to protect the personal data stored by us from access by third parties, loss or misuse and to enable secure data transfer.

We must point out that due to the structure of the Internet, unwanted access to data by third parties can occur. It is therefore also your responsibility to protect your data against misuse through encryption or in some other way. Without appropriate protective measures, data transmitted unencrypted, even by e-mail, can be read by third parties.

You can object to the processing of personal data for advertising purposes, including the analysis of customer data for advertising purposes, at any time without giving reasons.

In addition, the data subject also has a general right to object (see Art. 21 (1) GDPR). In this case, the objection to data processing must be justified. If the data processing is based on consent, your consent can be revoked at any time with effect for the future.
