The European energy industry was abuzz with excitement last month as the K.EY energy fair wrapped up its latest edition in Rimini, Italy on March 22-24. The event marked a momentous success with more than 12,000 attendees from 600 companies, twice as many from the previous edition and 28% of which were from outside Italy. A total of 400 exhibitors showcased a wide range of innovative energy solutions.
The remarkable turnout speaks to growing interest in sustainable energy practices across Italy, in step with the 2050 carbon neutrality target. The event organizer Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) highlighted that Europe is racing ahead with a record new photovoltaic capacity of 41.4 GW in 2022, 47% more than the 2021 figure, of which 2.5 GW were from Italy.
While solar energy was at the core of the event, K.EY 2023 also hosted conferences and summits on wind, hydrogen, energy efficiency, e-mobility, and sustainable city. The inaugural K.EY Energy Summit – States General of Renewable Sources was also held to promote public discussion on submitting organic and coordinated proposals to the government, which were welcomed by the Vice Minister for the Environment and Energy Security, Vannia Gava.

LG Energy Solution took advantage of the fair by showcasing our latest solution featuring battery + inverter for residential purposes, which offers a range of benefits for homeowners looking to reduce their energy bills and increase the efficiency of their homes, whether it’s a new installation or retrofitting with existing solar systems at home.
Our new battery + inverter solution, which we also presented at Genera 2023 in Madrid, offers both high voltage and low voltage options, making it suitable for a wide range of residential properties: The high voltage option for larger homes with higher energy demands and the low voltage option for smaller properties with lower energy consumption. The HV solution will launch in May and the LV version in June, arriving in Italy before any other country in Europe.
The new inverters also have backup capabilities that provide uninterrupted energy supply in case of power outage. A 10-year warranty is provided for the battery, the inverter, and the auto backup device components of the solution for customer satisfaction and maximum durability.
